Background:
Forest and Sandridge Church of England Primary School was opened in 1874 The school building has been extended and improved in a number of ways since 1968. There is a playing field located adjacent to the school. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in sporting activities such as gymnastics, dance, games, athletics, swimming, football and netball. In addition to sports clubs, there are a number of other extra-curricular options available, including sewing, gardening, computers, chess, French, choir, dancing and instruction in various musical instruments. A number of residential visits are organised by the school to enhance the pupils' learning experience. The school'seeks to promote a happy, purposeful learning environment in which children feel known, accepted and valued as individuals within a caring community to which they belong and have responsibilities.
