Background:
Whiteparish is a small village school in the southeast corner of Wiltshire that serves the village and the surrounding parish. Established in 1842, the ground upon which it is built was presented to the village by Countess Elizabeth Nelson whose family have had connections with the village since the Battle of Trafalgar. A 'wide range' of extra-curricular activities are offered on a 'rolling' programme and include judo, first aid, gardening, drama. The school has 'strong' links with the church and regular termly festival services are held.
