Background:
Bulford is a village school which moved to its present site in 1972. It serves three communities: the Army, the Church and the village. Its facilities include a library, a multipurpose hall, playgrounds, a large playing field, a school pond and a maze area. The school offers a full programme of extra-curricular activities throughout the year, including athletics, football, rounders, netball, book circle and dancing. Bulford has links with the community both local and within the Diocese of Salisbury. In 2003 Year 6 children had a five-day residential visit to Plas Pencelli, taking part in outdoor and adventurous activities. Bulford aims to 'reflect the best of mainstream primary education' and 'create a climate wherein each child may achieve his or her personal best'.
