Background:
Grange Junior School was opened in 1962 and, following a storm in 1990, was rebuilt and reopened in 1992. The teaching block is an L-shaped structure that contains 12 classrooms. At the end of each wing are group rooms, one containing the school library. Other facilities include a kiln for pottery work, a hall and two shower rooms. Extra-curricular activities include football, country dancing, choir, mini-rugby, netball, band, line dancing and computer club. The school are league winners in football, rugby and netball and raise money for charity every year. Grange Junior aims to 'foster lively and enquiring minds and attempt to solve problems and complete tasks in a logical and rational manner'.
