Background:
The school is situated in the middle of Trowbridge town in Wiltshire, serving children from a mixed residential area. The school was built in the 1970 and has been recently refurbished. It has extensive grounds, which include a nature area, a field with various play equipment, two tarmac play areas and a courtyard play area specially for early years children. The school provides a variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities including netball, football, music, choir and chess. Music tuition can be arranged for interested children in Key Stage 2. There is a newly established school council. Holbrook aspires to provide a welcoming and safe environment where children and staff are supported and challenged to become independent, reflective and cooperative learners.
