Background:

Worton and Marston Primary School was built in 1967. There are three classrooms and a communal working area. The children are able to work in the communal working area especially for group work. The furniture is arranged so that it can be quickly cleared for drama, movement or gymnastics. The library is situated near the entrance to the school, where every child has easy access to the books. The school has an office and a staff room. There is a small resources room, a kitchen and a cloakroom area. The school is set in spacious grounds. The grassed areas are large enough to provide a football pitch in the autumn and athletics track in the summer term. The school field is used to teach football, rounders, cricket and athletics. Netball, volley ball and other ball games are taught on the playground. All the children are involved in musical activities through a structured music scheme. The school aims to be a community where everyone is valued equally and where all children can feel safe and happy.
