Background:
Harnham Church of England controlled junior school is situated on the outskirts of the city of Salisbury, beneath Harnham hill. The main building was opened in 1968. Last year the school undertook a major building project, which has provided two new classrooms and a dedicated library /ICT suite. A large number of extra' curricular activities such as judo, tag-rugby, drama and recorders take place during and after school. Children also have the opportunity to sing in the choir, learn to play a variety of musical instruments and participate in school concerts and productions. The school places great importance on the social skills of co-operation and sharing and encourages pupils to become honest, reliable, compassionate and tolerant individuals.
