Background:
Ramsbury Primary School is situated in the centre of the large village of Ramsbury in Wiltshire, close to Marlborough and Hungerford, amongst the beautiful and picturesque Marlborough Downs. It was founded in 1875, although the Victorian buildings were replaced in 1988. It is set in landscaped grounds and has an adjacent sports field. There are six modern, purpose-built classrooms with a well equipped sports hall that is often used for adult evening classes. There are many links with the local community, and the school offers joint education provision with the local pre-school. There is also a very active parent-teacher association that fund raises for the school. The school aims to provide a calm, caring and stimulating environment.
