Box Highlands County Primary is situated in a pleasant rural setting bordering the Rudloe estate. There is active support from the local community including the services and the Friends of Box Highlands group. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including soccer, netball, rugby, chess, aerobics, drama, choir, art, book club and gymnastics. The school prides itself on having an open policy and providing a caring atmosphere. It also values its role in the community where involvement ranges from visiting and entertaining senior citizens to working with local pre-school playgroups. The school curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics and science and foundation subjects including history, geography, technology, art, music and physical education. The school aims to provide a learning environment which enables the child to become a self-motivated, independent, confident learner who achieves to the best of their ability.
