Background:
Longleaze Pimary School was opened in September 1973. The building is semi open-plan and offers following facilities: 10 classrooms, four activity areas, two playgrounds, a computer suite, a learning resource centre, gym, football pitch and netball courts. There is an on site pre-school with which it has very close links. It offers a broad and balanced curriculum, including religious education, the foundation stage for the early years and the national curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2. The school recognises the value of extra-curricular activities as an enrichment of the curriculum and offers a wide range according to expertise. The school aims to help children to develop lively, enquiring mind with the ability to question and argue rationally applying themselves, both mentally and physically, to all areas of the curriculum.
