Background:
St Peter's Primary School was built in 1973. The grounds are attractive and include an outdoor classroom, pond, wild area, field and outdoor play equipment. Extra-curricular activities include: football and netball, recorders, guitar, cross keys club, hockey, dancing and engineering. The curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, sex education, personal social and health education and citizenship, design technology, information and communication technology, history and geography, art, music, drama, religious education, physical education. The school has close links with Church, which is physically attached to the school. The school has achieved the following awards: Basic Skills Award in June 2003 and Investor in People status in 2004. The school aims to promote learning in a secure, caring, Christian environment where children are encouraged to produce work of a high standard.
