Background:

Nomansland and Hamptworth School was built in 1875 and was designed by the architect of St Pancras Station. It is one of a few village schools situated in the New Forest and it will soon be part of the National Parks. The school has a close connection with the local parish church and its location allows a high standard of local environmental work. Recently, a garden area and adventure playground have been developed and a Millennium project is underway to develop a village pond and sports field along with improvements to the school's own grounds. Children have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument such as brass, recorder, guitar, clarinet and violin and to participate in swimming, football, netball and skipping. The school aims for the pupils to be courteous, confident and show commitment to their work.
